So apparently "Kick-Ass" is translated as 勁揪俠.
I'm curious to know what is literal translation for 勁揪?
Searching the web seem to indicate that a Hong Kong football team is name 勁揪,
勁 = (powerful)
揪= (to lift )
In soccer, a powerful strike is called 「勁揪」-- short for 「強勁揪射」( when deliver a kick with force, your striking foot always end up in a up lifting position, thus the term 揪射 came from. )
The players who have the reputation of delivering strikes with fearsome force are called 「勁揪人馬」( strong striking people) and the term 「勁揪」took on the meaning of: 「powerful / fearsome」in any other field too . especially in martial art, 勁揪 would be the description for a fearsome, hard hiting fighter.
